Our story in Coffee Bay

Our Wild Coast Story. Your Next Adventure

A warm, family-run stay where peaceful garden days meet the wild beauty of the Eastern Cape coast.

Welcome to Geckos

A Quiet Corner of Coffee Bay, Shared from the Heart.

Welcoming guests since 2005

For us, Geckos B&B has always been about more than simply offering a place to sleep. Since 2005, our family has welcomed travellers into our little corner of Coffee Bay, a peaceful place to breathe deeply, slow down and feel at home on the Wild Coast.

We believe the most memorable stays are the ones that feel personal. Our private rooms are separate from the main residence, each with its own en-suite bathroom, with self-catering facilities available in selected rooms. Every room opens onto a veranda overlooking our lush subtropical garden, the perfect spot for an unhurried morning coffee, a quiet afternoon with a book or simply listening to the sounds of nature.

What matters most to us is how you feel while you are here. Through genuine warmth, thoughtful service and personal touches, we hope to make your time at Geckos feel less like an ordinary stay and more like a place you will remember fondly.

Whether you have come to explore the beauty of Coffee Bay, reconnect with nature or simply rest for a while, we hope you will arrive as our guest and leave carrying a little piece of this special place with you.

Around the bay

Explore Coffee Bay

Exercise or relax your muscles and your mind, with the unspoiled Wild Coast as your playground.

The “real” Wild Coast

Coffee Bay is a small rural seaside village located on the “real” Wild Coast of South Africa.

There is no commercial centre and there are no malls, no cinemas, no bank or even an ATM so don’t expect to be entertained by typical city attractions.

It’s a place where people come to experience the unspoiled beauty of the natural coastline, just to “chill” or to participate in activities ungoverned by technology. Although we do have WIFI so you wont be left completely in the dark 😉
